Importance of Social Distancing
When we return to work, we need to be mindful that the threat of COVID-19 has not elapsed and that all of us are responsible for reducing the final threat of this pandemic by maintaining proper social distancing. We did it while under lockdown, we can do it at the workplace too.

Why should we implement Social Distancing?
COVID-19 spreads through droplets and if you are in a close contact with the droplets, you may get infected. This virus normally spreads between humans when one meets a person who is either affected from it or is a carrier (called asymptomatic).

Social Distancing is a practice that is urged by the governments and health authorities worldwide. We believe social distancing will become a norm, and all workplaces must practice it to reduce close contact and spread of COVID-19.

‘Let’s Take a Break from Social Life’, this expression was recently introduced by officials in Seoul, South Korea to normalize social distancing measures as a way of life. Learning from countries globally and best practices out there, we have marked our entire facility for maintaining proper (worker-worker) distancing in order to prevent close contact and any transmission.

How do we maintain Social Distancing at a Workplace?

• Maintain more than 2-metre distance while walking, talking, and sitting with colleagues.
• Avoid shaking hands.
• Follow staggered lunch and break schedules.
• Ensure Buffer seating arrangements.
• Schedule online meetings instead of inviting external visitors.
• Limit meeting room attendees.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 2-metre distance between people while in an Elevator.
• Avoid crowding and conversations in the washrooms. Follow mark ups.
• Avoid gathering near water coolers, pantry and cafeteria.
• Avoid large gathering/ groups in the premises.

The effect of the pandemic might seem overwhelming, but each of us can help slow down the spread of COVID-19. By following these simple measures, you can make a big difference to your health, and that of others around you!

Importance of Temperature Checks at a Workplace
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually.

Temperature check is one of the preventive measures adopted globally in the era of Coronavirus. To stem the spread of this disease, medical and government advisories have suggested continuing with regular temperature checks (along with monitoring for indicative symptoms) to mitigate the risk of anyone becoming a new victim of COVID-19. We must take this precaution for the wellbeing of everyone around us.

• Daily Temperature Checks in all facilities.
• Entrance gates marked for proper social distancing.
• Frequent sanitisation of Infrared thermometer.
• Trained personnel and nurses on the do’s and don’ts while taking temperature.
• Any person with a temperature higher than equal to 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will not be allowed inside the office premises and will be sent home.

• Voluntarily get your temperature checked at the entrance gate.
• Follow proper distancing and be patient while getting your temperature checked.
• If you have the mildest symptoms of cold, cough, or fever, please stay back home.
• If you develop fever, cough, and difficulty breathing while at work, please inform your manager and our local community executive. Seek medical advice promptly as this may be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition.
